At the time the pyramids were built, it was also customary to place priceless treasures in the tomb with the monarch. I picture in my mind the treasures hidden in the pyramid in those days – surely at least pearls, rubies, diamonds, gold scrolls, who knows what?
The entry to the pyramid was secret and sealed tight, but once it was discovered, the treasures have been lost over the centuries.
Perhaps thieves have taken them?
It’s time to stride forward again.
